There is no denying that the ability to take on a special project (or any project for that matter) and complete it successfully is an essential ingredient to thrive in your job. Yet so often, many who are put in the role of project manager bypass the fundamental and intermediate skills to manage projects and lead team members effectively.

This workshop, Project Management for Non-Project Managers, is focused on sharing the most important skills and tools that you should know to improve your mastery of Project Management. Here, you will learn that project managers are more than administrators and project management is more than “scorekeeping."

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • The twelve project management functions
  • How to develop a project scope (via a project charter) and how to avoid “scope creep”
  • How to develop a project plan from scratch, and how to monitor your project
  • Project status reporting concepts and how to effectively communicate your status and move from “red” to “green”

Lastly, in the workshop, we will provide you with easy-to-use templates to create a project charter, create a project plan, and report on project status.
