Young Kim provides Desktop Support in ITS. Young immediately responded to an after-hours IT call, regarding a potentially corrupted laptop computer used for attendee tracking. He was working late on an Enterprise Applications project, and although 9:30pm, he willingly hosted a remote session to help restore the laptop and save valuable attendee data.
The catastrophic laptop crash happened during the Managerial Reporting Project's three days of technology vendor demos. The laptop was used to track attendance and the feedback from the 75 stakeholders at the all-day sessions. After identifying other severe laptop issues, Young was able to restore the laptop to the previous day. No tracking data was lost, and the system was ready for the next day.
