Email consolidation is an ITS project that improves calendar sharing and meeting planning, enhances security, and reduces costs related to supporting multiple email systems.
The move to a single email client allows:
- Easier scheduling of meetings due to calendar sharing
- Reduced infrastructure costs and support
- Greater security of information
- More effective analysis of current versus obsolete email accounts
The objective of this project was to migrate CMS Email accounts to Exchange Free / Busy Calendar Federation.
In June 2016 nearly 10,000 accounts were reviewed with 4,000+ accounts moved from CMS and migrated to the new Exchange system.
